The Children's Museum was a training center in the appreciation, appropriation and valuation of scientific culture, through significant experiences for creative and critical thinking, aimed at a comprehensive understanding of the everyday environment and the dynamics of the national and global community. It was located in the capital city of Colombia, Bogotá and in recent years it has evolved into a children's recreational space park.

History

The Children's Museum was founded by the Children's Museum Foundation in 1986, under the leadership of President Belisario Betancur, with the support of a group of Colombian private businessmen and leaders of state entities. It opened its doors to the public in 1987. It occupied a set of buildings with approximately 8,000 total square meters.

In 2010, the COLSUBSIDIO Family Subsidy Fund assumed the full administration of the Museum.

The Museo de los Niños-Colsubsidio, linked to the Department of Culture, offered a variety of didactic experiences that were aimed at facilitating the understanding of today's world, based on the promotion of the appreciation of scientific culture.

In 2017, under the administration of Mayor Enrique Peñalosa Londoño, the IDRD reconditioned it as a park for children's recreation. in 2014 the last times of the imbo 24 points high 56 m2 4 spaces between 14 and 17 years.
