Charlie Dominici
Dominici Charlie In study of the progressive metal group Dream Theater.
His voice when singing is similar to Rush's Geddy Lee: he is high, warm and nasal.
HISTORY
Charlie entered the world of music with Franke and The Knockouts, where he was a guitarist and second voice. He did the tests to enter Dream Theater in 1987 and was hired in November of that same year.
In 1988 he recorded When Dream and Day Unite with Dream Theater, but was expelled shortly after, being replaced later by James Labrie. Charlie was much larger than the rest of the band members and there were also personal and creative differences with respect to work. It was felt that their vocal style and general attitude towards music did not fit with the heavy metal part that the compositions of the group had.
In 2004 he met with Dream Theater for the Special Concert When Dream and Day gathering . He sang a couple of songs with the band to celebrate the 15 years of the release of the album.
