Reverend Charles Jesse (1897 - 1985) is the author of the verses of Sons and Daughters of Saint Lucia, which were set to music by Latvian Felix Thomas in 1967 to make them the national anthem of Saint Lucia, which is located north of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and south of Martinique, in the waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Jesse was also the author of several history books about his country. His works include Outlines of Saint Lucia's History (ISBN 976-8119-00-4) and History of the Town and District of Vieux Fort .
