A catalog raisonné (in French, catalogue raisonné, a term also used in English) is a scholarly text for consultation that documents and describe all known prints made by a particular artist. Information typically includes title, alternative titles, date, technique, print run size, image format, paper used, and other pertinent data. The term, used by engravers, dealers, and collectors, is also applied to similar catalogs of paintings, sculptures, drawings, watercolors, or other works by the same artist or studio.
