Castellanos de Moriscos
Castellanos de Moriscos is a Spanish municipality and town in the province of Salamanca, in the autonomous community of Castilla y León. It is integrated within the region of La Armuña. It belongs to the judicial district of Salamanca and to the La Armuña Commonwealth.
Its municipal area is made up of the towns of Alto del Barro, Castellanos de Moriscos, Polígono industrial and La Almunia Urbanization, as well as the unpopulated areas of El Praíto, Fuente Pedraza and Prado del Valle, occupying a total area of 13 84 km² and according to the demographic data collected in the municipal register prepared by the INE in 2017, it has a population of 2,557 inhabitants.
Geography
Integrated in the region of La Armuña, it is located 8 kilometers from the capital of Salamanca. The municipality is crossed by the Autovía de Castilla A-62 between pK 228 and 233 and its conventional alternative, the highway from Burgos to Portugal via Salamanca N-620 , in addition to local roads that connect with Moriscos and San Cristóbal de la Cuesta. The relief of the municipality is practically flat, with altitudes that oscillate between 871 meters and 811 meters. The town rises to 835 meters above sea level.

History
Its foundation dates back to the repopulation carried out by the kings of León in the Middle Ages, being integrated into the quarter of Armuña of the jurisdiction of Salamanca, within the Kingdom of León, being called in the century XIII "Castellans of Morisco" for having been repopulated with people from Castilla. With the creation of the current provinces in 1833, it was included in the province of Salamanca, within the Leonese Region.
Demographics
In 1826 the inhabitants were 221, according to the Geographical-statistical Dictionary of Spain and Portugal by Sebastián Miñano y Bedoya.

Between 1970 and 1981, this municipality added to the municipalities of San Cristóbal de la Cuesta and Moriscos.
Between 1981 and 1991, San Cristóbal de la Cuesta and Moriscos segregated again from this municipality.

Cabrerizos Tennis Club
The Cabrerizos Tennis Club was inaugurated at the beginning of 2010. The club is made up of 8 tennis courts, of which 5 are covered, distributed between the Moriscos Sports Center and Graveras Sánchez complexes. This club participates mainly in the regional and provincial Interclub Championship.
Parish Church of San Esteban
The parish church of Castellanos de Moriscos was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest on April 29, 1999. In the Book of "Places and villages of the Bishopric of Salamanca" original from 1604-1629 transcribed and edited by A. Casaseca and J.R. Nieto describes the church and the place in the following terms: "This place has 150 vezinos, the church of Sant Estevan, stonework, not well treated, is dark, and has a very bad corner, which has So what did they want to do in it the tower for the bells and there is a precise need for them to be heard in the part of the place, now this church has a carved altarpiece that Juan de Guerta has been in charge of for many years, sculptor, a Vezino from Salamanca and he has not brought the missing bulk jumps, this sculptor has taken a lot of money, used to putting whoever takes out the factory and has taken the rent these years ago, this sculptor deserves in all the works of this Assi church of his trade as of stonework, they are ordered without seeing Vª Sª and also that within a month they settle with him and that they compel him to bring the figures that he is obliged to. Currently, after the inauguration of the iGP Lenteja de la Armuña Sports Center, it has numerous sports activities (Futsal, Basketball, Kick Boxing, Karate, Judo...) as well as the latest addition of a gym. It also has a track outdoor futsal, and two indoor paddle tennis courts.
