Coro gaditano en Carnival

A carnival choir is a type of genuine carnival group from Cádiz that takes to the streets in rafts or floats to sing and offer coplas to the people.

It can contain from 12 to 45 components (35 voices and 10 orchestra), which sing in different voices: tenor, second and bass. The orchestra is pulse and pick and the instruments used are the guitar, the bandurria and the lute. His repertoire is made up of presentation, tangos, cuplés, refrains and potpourri.

The Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) is held at the Gran Teatro Falla where the choirs share the stage with three other types of groups: comparsas, chirigotas and quartets.
