Carlos E. Restrepo (Medellin)
Carlos E. Restrepo is a traditional upper-middle class neighborhood in the city of Medellín, Colombia. It was named in honor of Carlos Eugenio Restrepo, president of Colombia from 1910 to 1914. In the neighborhood are the Pilot Public Library and the Cultural Center Faculty of Arts University of Antioquia. This neighborhood has a great quality as it is housing large green areas characterized by housing dung beetles, hunting ants and various species of dragonflies; these are only a part of the multiple species located in parks, streets and other people's places. Another relevant factor is the peaceful coexistence of its inhabitants, who are mostly management employees of the main Antioquian companies, teachers and university students.
It was one of the first working-class neighborhoods founded in the city of Medellín, it is located in the commune 11 Laureles - Estadio and has multiple access roads, it is a favorite place for the development of cultural activities thanks to its environment bohemian style and its leafy vegetation that makes it pleasant to walk through the sector.
