Cagayan Valley

The Cagayan Valley (Ilocano: Tanap ti Cagayan) is a region of the Philippines, also known as Region II. It is made up of the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. The regional capital is Tuguegarao.

Most of the region lies in a large valley in northeastern Luzon, between the Cordillera Central and the Sierra Madres. The Cagayan River, the longest in the country, flows through its center and empties into the Luzon Strait in the north, in the town of Aparri. The Babuyan and Batanes island groups also belong to the region.
