Cabueñes
Cabueñes is an Asturian parish belonging to the rural district of the council of Gijón in Spain.
Due to its short distance from the urban center of Gijón, it has traditionally been a leisure and residential area. The Labor University, the Cabueñes Hospital, the municipal funeral home, part of the university campus, the Science and Technology Park, the Atlantic Botanical Garden and the Carbayera del Tragamón are located there.
Population
In 2008 Cabueñes had 1,271 inhabitants and in 2018 it had 1,439, making it the third most populous parish in the council, behind Somió and Vega.
Location
It is located to the east of the council, limiting to the north with Somió, to the east with Quintueles, in the council of Villaviciosa, to the south with Deva and Santurio and to the west with Bernueces.
The parish is crossed by the N-632 as well as by the future road from the Hospital to the A-8. EMTUSA offers the parish a great multitude of lines, highlighting lines 1 and 26. In addition, the parish, It will have a Metrotren stop that will have the C-1 commuter line: the Hospital de Cabueñes station.
