Brunei flag

Contenido The flag of Brunei was adopted on September 29, 1959, when the country became a protectorate of the United Kingdom, and became official on January 1, 1984, when the country was awarded the independence.
The flag is made up of a yellow background, the traditional symbol of the monarchy, a double black-and-white sloping band that is not parallel to its diagonal and, occupying the center and in red, the coat of arms of Brunei. The latter is made up of:
- A real parasol (called Payung Ubor-Ubor) crowned by a flag representing the real power.
- Two wings (Sayab) with four feathers each representing the protection of justice, tranquility, prosperity and peace.
- A half moon to remember Islam with national currency "الداكمون المحسنون بالهدى" "Sentiasa membuat kebajikan dengan petunjuk Allah" (in Spanish):"Always in service with God's guidance").
- A tape where you can read in Arabic "Brunei Darussalam" that means "Brunéi, homeland of peace".
- Hands (Tangana or Kimhap) on each side that personify as government power willing to promote serenity, peace and prosperity.
