The bradypsychia is a neurological symptom characterized by psychic, mental or thought slowness.

Etymologically it comes from the Greek: βραδέως (slow) and ψυχή (mind, soul).

Etiology

It is a common symptom in diseases of the central nervous system such as Alzheimer's disease, even with aging and also with the abuse of psychotropic substances, narcotics and/or the chronic consumption of alcohol for a long time.
