Brachychloa is a genus of phanerogamous plants in the Poaceae family. It is native to southern Mozambique in coastal forests on sandy soil. It comprises 2 described and accepted species.

The genus was described by Sylvia Mabel Phillips and published in Kew Bulletin 37(1): 145,158. 1982.
