Box pallet
The box pallet is a type of large packaging made of corrugated cardboard and later it began to be made of plastic. Its perimeter coincides with that of the pallet that transports it (fundamentally 1200x800, 1200x1000 and 600x800), thus being able to display it in the store on it.
The box pallet combines the functions of transport packaging and product display, which considerably reduces the cost of handling. Generally, it is found in the aisles or gondola heads of supermarkets and hypermarkets.
In its front part, a pre-cut is usually practiced that allows the product to be disposed of easily. The detached part of the body can be embedded in the rear wall that thus acts as an advertising poster. Due to its large size, the side closure of the box pallet is made with staples and is usually printed in bright colors to maximize its promotional function. The packaging can be transparent on the inside, in which case the products are stacked one on top of the other, or have trays embedded in its structure on which the products are placed.
Its use is related to the transport of large fruit merchandise, such as melons and watermelons, as well as for the industrial transport of oranges from cooperative societies to orange derivative factories. It is also used for high turnover products that justify a massive presentation at the point of sale.
