Boí Taüll Resort
The Boí Taüll ski resort is located in the Catalan Pyrenees, in the Bohí Valley (province of Lérida, Spain). The old spelling of the term, both in Catalan and Spanish, corresponded to Tahull, and this is how it still appears in some guides.
In 2018 the station was bought by the Generalitat of Catalonia to save it from bankruptcy.
Description
The station is located in the Lérida Pyrenees, at the head of the Vall de Mulleres and extends across most of the mountains and ridges that surround it, especially to the south and south. this.
It has the highest altitudes among the ski resorts in the Pyrenees (2020 m minimum altitude in Pla de Vaques and 2751 m maximum altitude in Puig Falcó) and a north orientation, which favors the quality of the snow.
Its ski area consists of 10 green slopes, 7 blue, 26 red and 9 black, some with slopes of up to 750 meters and without horizontal slopes.
The top of the resort offers views of the Pallars Jussá and the Pic de l'Orri, in the neighboring ski resort of Port Ainé. This place borders the peripheral area of the Aigüestortes and Lake San Mauricio National Park.
It has a car park with 1,500 spaces, restaurants, cafes, a ski school, ski and snowboard equipment rental service, equipment repair, heliport, medical service, children's area and an area dedicated exclusively to the snowpark.
On November 18, 2018, it was nominated as the best ski resort in Spain in the world ski awards, snatching the title from the Aragonese resort of Aramon Cerler, which had held it for four consecutive years.
