The Bodo Liberation Tiger Force (BLTF) was an armed organization created on June 18, 1996 by Prem Singh Brahma, aiming for a state of Bodoland in the north of the Brahmaputra, an autonomous Bodo district south of the said river and the recognition of the Bodos of the Karbi-Anglong district in the Indian constitution.

After three years of fighting, in 1999 it began negotiations with the government and signed a ceasefire on March 29, 2000. It has more than 500 combatants. Its leader (president) is Hagrama Basumatary, with Kamal Moshahray alias Chandran Narzari (vice president) and Mainao Daimary, secretary of publicity also standing out in its direction. In the year (2004) it reached a political agreement with the Indian authorities.
