Bill Conti

William "Bill" Conti (Providence, Rhode Island, April 13, 1942) is an Italian-American film music composer.

He began studying piano at the age of seven, later enrolling at Louisiana State University and the Juilliard School of Music. She debuted with the musical direction of Blume in Love.

He has been the music director for the Oscar ceremonies for several years.

He is known throughout the world for the main theme of the movie Rocky and The Karate Kid. And for the themes of several of the most important television series of the 1980s: Falcon Crest, Dynasty, The Colbys and North and South.

He was nominated 3 times for the Oscars and is the winner of a statuette; was nominated first in 1976 for the Rocky theme "Gonna Fly Now", then in 1981 for the theme For Your Eyes Only, from the film by same name, and finally won in 1983 with Elect for glory.
