Better Dayz
Better Dayz is 2Pac's fourth posthumous album, released on November 26, 2002. It is the rapper's last double album.
The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart. This release is the second of two albums recorded with unreleased material from the "Makaveli" by 2Pac, and was produced by Death Row producer Johnny "J", Jazze Pha, Frank Nitty and E.D.I. from The Outlawz, among others. It includes 23 unreleased songs from the 1995-1996 period, with appearances by Nas, Tha Outlawz, Mýa, Jazze Pha, Ron Isley and Tyrese, among others. Also includes the song "Military Minds" with the collaboration of Buckshot and Smif-N-Wessun (then known as Cocoa Brovaz), members of Boot Camp Clik, which was going to be part of the collaborative album between 2Pac and BCC titled One Nation, but Due to the rapper's death, it was never officially released. The single 'Thugz Mansion' has two versions: the acoustic version with Nas, and the hip hop version with Anthony Hamilton. The album sold 366,000 copies in the first week. On January 31, 2003, the album was certified double platinum by the RIAA. The song "Ghetto Star" appears on the soundtrack of the video game 25 To Life.
Some songs are complete mixes or remain in their original version such as "F*** 'em All", "Late Night", "Ghetto Star" 34;, "Better Dayz", "Fame and Fortune", "Who Do You Believe In" and 'They Don't Give A F*** About Us'. The song "Late Night" with Dj Quik disappeared from all digital versions of the album for an unknown reason.
