The Association of Moroccan Immigrant Workers in Spain, ATIME, was created in 1989 at the initiative of a group of people united both by friendship and by a common personal situation: being Moroccan nationals who due to circumstances economic or political, they had to leave their country and move to Spain under the condition of economic emigrant or political refugee.

ATIME has asked the Government to create a Council of Muslims in Spain. The state headquarters of the Association is located in Madrid, c/ Canillas n.º 56, in Prosperidad, currently present in the communities of Murcia, Andalusia, Catalonia, Madrid and planning to establish itself in 2006 in Castilla-La Mancha and the Valencian Community. It develops projects for the integration of immigrants in Spain, among other programs for employment, housing, education and culture, interpreter services and translation from Arabic, etc. The president of the Association is Mohamed Kamal Rahmouni.
