(“Catch them now!” in Latin America and “Hazte con todos! in Spain).

During his journey, he meets Misty, a passionate trainer of Water-type Pokémon and later Gym Leader of Celestial City, and Brock, Gym Leader of Silver City, who later follow the protagonist on his adventures, mentoring him.. In his path, Team Rocket (Team Rocket in the Spanish version) is frequently found, who try to steal his Pikachu. Ash loses the match, due to his Charizard refusing to fight Richie's Pikachu, placing in the top 16 of the tournament, earning a good reputation.

The Orange Islands

After finishing in the top 16 in the Indigo League, Ash ventured to the Orange Islands to find a Poké Ball GS for Professor Oak on Valencia Island, home of Professor Ivy. After locating her, Brock decides to stay at the Professor's house, where he would take care of the chores.

After defeating Drake and his Dragonite, Ash becomes the new champion of the Orange League. After the Orange League, Lapras is released to go with his family. Arriving in Pallet Town, Brock, to everyone's surprise, is at Ash's mom's house competing with Mr. Mime to do the chores, refusing to answer why he abandoned Professor Ivy. After Ash lost a battle training with Gary, Misty tells him that he left for Johto to restart his journey. Tracey stays on as Prof. Oak's assistant and Brock rejoins the group.

Johto

Before Ash left for Johto, Professor Oak gave him a mission. Deliver the Poké Ball GS to Kurt, a famous Poké Ball expert.

Upon arriving in said region, he signed up, and began to battle against the Gym Leaders of the Johto region. Ash captures a Chikorita very attached to him, which later evolves into Bayleef. Other Pokémon like Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Heracross joined his team. Charizard, was left in the Charicific Valley to be able to train. Heracross stays with Oak after a Tauros tournament. Squirtle, who participated in a Pokémon fire tournament, decides to return to his old squad, and Bulbasaur who is also sent to Oak's laboratory in Pallet Town. As Ash's Pokémon left, others joined his team, such as Noctowl and Phanpy.

After winning all eight gyms in Johto, it finally competes in the Silver Conference, which it enters with the Pokémon caught on its journey. In this tournament, Ash manages to defeat his rival, Gary Oak, with the help of Charizard, but is eliminated after being defeated by Harrison, a trainer from the Hoenn region. Ash, who on a recommendation made by Harrison, heads to the Hoenn region as his next target.

Upon arriving in Ciudad Verde, Misty receives news from her sisters, indicating that she must return to Ciudad Celeste to take care of the gym while they are absent, Misty sees this event with great sadness since, although she never said so Thanks to certain situations and comments, she had developed a special affection for Ash, however, although at the moment of the farewell it seems that she is going to tell him, she is interrupted by Brock. In the same way, Brock returns to his home to fix some problems that have arisen, while Ash leaves for Hoenn with only Pikachu.

Hoenn

Ash heads towards Hoenn, leaving behind all his Pokémon except Pikachu. In Hoenn, he meets a rookie trainer named May (Aura in the Spanish version) and her younger brother Max, who aspires to be a Pokémon researcher. In said region, he meets Brock again and begins his journey to collect medals. During his run, Ash captures Treecko which evolves into Grovyle and later into Sceptile, Taillow which evolves into Swellow, Corphish, Torkoal and Snorunt which evolves into Glalie at the grand festival. At one point, Ash is reunited with Misty, whose Togepi evolves into Togetic and is released.

After collecting 8 medals, Ash makes it to the Hoenn League, which is held in Colossalia City. Arriving in the semifinals of the Hoenn league, Ash is defeated by Tyson, a coach with whom he had befriended, placing in the top 8. Ash returns to Pallet Town, satisfied with the result, and says goodbye to Max and May/Aura (who stay in Petalburgo City) and Brock who also returns to his home.

Kanto and the Battle of the Frontier/Battle Front

Back home, Ash meets Scott, who invites him to participate in the Battle of the Border competition (Frente Batalla in the Spanish version) that takes place in the Kanto region, to challenge the aces of the border/front. Before starting his new adventure, Ash leaves Torkoal and Glalie with Oak, while Phanpy rejoins the group. And during the trip he captures an Aipom.

After defeating the aces of the frontier/front: Noland, Greta, Tucker, Lucy, Spenser and Anabel (Sabino, Coro, Tactio, Fortunia, Aniceto and Destra in the Spanish version), the location of the last base where the strongest of the aces of the frontier/front is located, the Battle Pyramid whose ace of the frontier/front is called Brandon (Valente in the Spanish version). Eventually, Ash arrives at the Battle Pyramid, to face Brandon, the latest frontier ace. Ash faced Brandon 3 times, of which on his 3rd chance, he defeats him, managing to win the competition and the right to be a frontier/frontline ace, but Ash declines the offer to continue traveling. In this season, Ash used all the Pokémon that he caught throughout his travels, and thus was able to achieve victory. It stands out, for example, the battle of Charizard against Articuno, in which he wins Charizard.

After a Pokémon Contest, in which Ash also participated, his friends Max and May/Aura say goodbye to him, while Brock returns home.

At a certain point, Ash meets May/Aura, who travels to Sinnoh to participate in the Wallace/Plubio Pokémon Contest, mentoring and rivaling Dawn/Maya.

Ash captures Starly, Turtwig, Gligar and Gible and also trades Aipom for Dawn/Maya's Buizel since Aipom liked contests and Buizel liked battles, Ash's Pokémon evolved over time: Starly evolved into Staravia then Staraptor, Turtwig evolved into Grotle then Torterra and Gligar became Gliscor. As one of the members of his team is Chimchar, a Pokémon that originally belonged to Paul, but as expected Paul releases it by saying that it was weak. It became part of Ash's team and later evolved into Monferno and finally Infernape, becoming an essential Pokémon since it helped him in most of the gym battles and thanks to him he also beat Paul in the quarterfinals of Ash. the Sinnoh League defeating Aggron, Ninjask and Paul's Electivire. After earning the 8 medals required to compete in the Pokémon League, Ash finished in the top four of the competition after beating his rival Paul in the quarterfinals and being defeated by Tobias in the semifinals, despite the fact that Ash had defeated the legendary Pokémon of this (Latios and Darkrai, being the only one to do so), then Tobías would become the champion of the Sinnoh League, while Ash decides to go to Unova (Unova in the Spanish version). After losing at the first gym, Serena finds Ash, who had forgotten his backpack at a Pokémon Center. Ash doesn't recognize Serena, so she decides to accompany him along with Clemont/Lem and Bonnie/Clem. Later, Clemont/Lem confesses that he is a Gym Leader but since he didn't have time for his other projects he created Clembot, a helper who controlled the Gym for him, solving the problem thanks to Ash.

Along the way, Ash is challenging gyms and meeting friends and rivals, while Serena becomes a Pokémon exhibitionist thanks to him and the advice of Shauna, another exhibitionist. Ash captures Froakie (who would evolve into Frogadier and then Greninja and with whom he develops a bond that allows him to transform into Greninja Ash form), Fletchling (who would evolve into Fletchinder and then Talonflame), Hawlucha, Goomy (who would evolve into Sliggoo and then Goodra) and finds an egg from which a Noibat hatches (which evolves into Noivern).

During the trip, Ash manages to fight for the first time against a regional champion, in this case against Diantha, where his Greninja managed to fight evenly against the champion's Mega Gardevoir, ending the fight without decision since Ash and Greninja passed out from depleting their aural connection.

Ash obtains the eight medals and goes to the Kalos League where he loses the final, but it was thanks to Alan having the mega ring from his boss Lysandre and with the power to mega evolve into Charizard and make Ash lose against his rival, the celebration is interrupted by strange roots involving Team Flare and their leader Lysandre, who wanted to control the region's guardian Pokémon, Zygarde. Lysandre sees her plans destroyed by the leaders of each Kalos gym, the former champions of the league, and by Ash and his friends.

Little by little they begin to rebuild what was left of the devastated Luminalia City where everyone cooperates with their reconstruction and the happiness of the people when they see the performance of Serena and Shauna. Ash and friends then enjoy their latest adventure at the Kalos airport, with Clemont/Lem and Bonnie/Clem heading back to their gym and Serena embarking on her own journey to Hoenn as a Pokémon artist, but before saying goodbye, she confesses to Ash that he is her goal and kisses him unexpectedly, leaving everyone touched.

Later, the gang discovers that the Legendary Pokémon, Solgaleo and Lunala, have the power to open Ultra Umbral to where the Ultra Beasts reside. So they decide to go to the Altar of the Sun with the Tapus (the guardian Pokémon of the islands: Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini and Tapu Bulu), and with Nebby, who later evolves into Cosmoem, is attracted by a strange and surprising force. evolves to Solgaleo. Ash defeats Kukui, who even teamed up with the guardian Tapu Koko, before returning to Pallet Town days later, leaving his captured Pokémon in the region (Rowlet, Lycanroc, Incineroar, and Melmetal) with Kukui to resolve threats from the Ultra Umbral.

Pokemon Travel Saga

From the Pokémon Journeys series.

After returning from Alola, Ash and his mother accompany Professor Oak to Professor Cerise's laboratory in Carmine City, in the Kanto region. During his stay, he participates in a raid battle against a Lugia, which he manages to mount, coinciding with another boy named Goh, another Pokémon lover whose objective is to capture the mythical Pokémon (singular in the Spanish version) Mew. Seeing that they both achieved such close contact with Lugia, Professor Cerise/Cerezo takes them on as his field researchers, discovering mysteries Pokémon in the different regions, including the new region: Galar. During his travels, Ash participates in some competitions, winning the Glass Flute Cup of the Battle of the Frontier / Battle Front of the Hoenn region.

After witnessing a World Coronation Series final in Galar, between the reigning world champion Lionel and the Kanto and Johto champion, Lance (where the former wins, and where the Dynamax force is presented (Dinamax in the version Spanish), which makes Pokémon grow considerably and some change shape), Ash becomes passionate and seeks to challenge the champion. Which he achieves after saving a Gigantamax Drednaw from destroying the stadium using Pikachu (who had also achieved Gigantamax form). Lionel defeats Ash and urges him to sign up for the Coronation World Series so they can face each other again, he also gives him a Dynamax Wristband so he can activate the phenomenon at his will in battles in the region. During the qualifying trips, Ash manages to catch a Dragonite (who Ash trained to fly as a Dragonair) and a Gengar (who was abandoned by a trainer in what is currently Prof. Cerise's lab). Later, he receives an egg from the Pokémon Center, which came from the Sinnoh region, Ash perceives a remote connection from that egg, and the thought led him directly to it, and this egg hatches into a Riolu, who would end up being caught by Ash.

After witnessing another battle for champion Lionel, Ash encounters a feisty Galarian Farfetch'd, who is challenging any trainer who comes his way to battles. The Farfetch'd easily defeated Goh's conventional Farfetch'd and faced off against Ash's Riolu, where the latter won after an intense contest. Farfetch'd agrees to be captured to strengthen himself alongside Ash.

Ash, Goh and Lionel faced the legendary Pokémon Eternatus, which was part of a legend in which it brought the "Black Night" to Galar, and caused bolts of Dynamax energy that caused this phenomenon in some Pokémon in the region. With the help of Galar's protector Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta, Ash and Goh stopped Eternatus and captured it to guard the region. In this arc, Ash's Riolu evolves into Lucario to protect him during the battle against President Rose. Later, on a fossil scan in the same region, Ash manages to catch a newly restored Dracovish.

As he travels, Ash is challenged by numerous trainers at the Coronation World Series: most notably Korrina/Corelia, whom he met on Kalos as a Gym Leader, defeating her twice; Bea/Judith, a Galarian gym leader, expert in fighting-type Pokémon, with whom he suffers his first loss in the Coronation World Series, being Ash's rival in the region (drawing their second match, plus a win for Ash In the third); Rinto, a trainer who highlights the connection failures between Ash and his Farfetch'd, Rinto winning in a practice duel, and then Ash in a rematch, due to Farfetch'd evolving into Sirfetch'd; his former traveling companion Iris, who had become the champion of the Unova/Unova region, with Haxorus, evolved from Fraxure and Axew, defeating her when Ash's Dragonite learned the Comet Draco attack (aided by Iris's dragon connection) and Roy, another Galarian Gym Leader and Lionel's friend/rival, in a crucial duel to enter the Coronation World Series Eight Masters Tournament, defeating Ash, thanks to Mega-Lucario (who trained his aural connection with Ash's Greninja) and ranking as the eighth of the Master Class.

The Eight Masters Tournament features the qualifiers in order: Lionel (reigning world champion and Galar champion), Cynthia/Cintia (Sinnoh champion), Steven/Máximo (Hoenn champion), Lance (World Runner-up and Kanto and Johto champion), Diantha (Kalos champion), Alain (Kalos League winner), Iris (Unova/Unova champion) and Ash (named as Alola champion). Of the competitors, Ash is the only one with the possibility of using the three special mechanics (Mega Evolution, Z Movements and Dynamax) by having a Lucarionite granted by Gurkinn, Korrina's grandfather, the Z Ring given to him by Tapu Koko along with the Pikastal Z, and the Dynamax Wristband that Lionel gave him.

After witnessing Lionel's victories over Alain, Diantha over Lance and Cynthia/Cintia over Iris, Ash faces Steven/Maximo, defeating him with an excellent strategy (being the second regional champion to be defeated by Ash, Iris being the first). In the semifinals, on the one hand Lionel and Diantha will face each other, and on the other, Ash with Cynthia/Cintia, in which Lionel defeats Diantha overwhelmingly, while Ash defeats Cynthia/Cintia for the first time in an intense and exhausting battle, unconsciously preventing her from withdrawing from battles, just as she commented to Diantha. Now with these new results, Lionel and Ash will meet in the final to define the world champion of the Eight Masters Tournament. In it, Lionel allowed Ash to use the three special mechanics he had (Mega Evolution, Z-Move, and Dynamax). The battle had an unpredictable course as they both fought against each other's strategy, until the climax where Ash only had Pikachu, while Lionel still had Charizard and Cinderace. Due to the collision of powers, Eternatus escapes from the laboratory in which he was imprisoned and attends the stadium to dissipate the energy, recharging the Dynamax energy of the competitors. After defeating Lionel's Gigantamax Cinderace in his Gigantamax form, and having a close battle with Charizard, Pikachu awakens a magnificent power and manages to defeat him. So, after a long time, Ash becomes the best trainer in the whole world and the new world champion of the Eight Masters Tournament.

In this saga, for the first time, Ash does not catch any of the starter Pokémon of the new region to be explored (Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, the starters of Galar), being all caught by Goh. In addition, he counted on temporary returns of almost all of his former traveling companions.

Risa for his part manages to invoke Lugia which makes rain on the mountain thus extinguishing the fire. The wind returns to the city and the festival reopens its doors for the last day. In-game

In the original games Ash does not exist as such, each edition has its own protagonist, Red is the protagonist of the video games Pokémon Red and Blue and Pokémon Yellow, along with their remakes Pokémon fire red and leaf green.

In the game, Red is an 11-year-old boy from Pallet Town. Red became interested in Pokémon after his best friend Blue (Green in the Japanese version) stops playing with him. His adventure begins when one day Professor Oak calls Red and Blue to his laboratory to receive his starter Pokémon. After receiving the Pokémon from him, Blue challenges Red to a match. Later, Professor Oak gives Red and Blue a PokéDex to fulfill their dream of completing all the information about the Pokémon.

Red travels throughout Kanto, filling the PokéDex with information and defeating gym leaders. His rival, Blue, is always one step ahead of him, and it seems that many times, he tries to impede Red's progress. When Red finally arrives at the Indigo Plateau to face the Elite Four, Red learns that Blue has defeated all members of the Elite Four, being the current champion of the Pokémon League. In the end, Red defeats his rival Blue in a match, and becomes the new champion.

Apart from Blue, Team Rocket is Red's main enemy, who tries to stop his evil plans. During his tour of Kanto, Rojo has several confrontations with the Team / Team Rocket. When Red defeats Giovanni (Team Leader/Team Rocket) the organization disappears. However, several members who are on Inta Island are unaware of what happened and are defeated by Red. Three years later, Team Rocket turns its attention to the Johto region.

In Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal and its remakes Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver, 3 years will have passed after the events in Kanto, Red is the last character to face in order to finish the game, for which reason he is considered, as the most powerful character in all the mainline games.
