Arthropogon is a genus of plants in the family Poaceae. It is native to South America. It comprises 10 described species and of these, only 5 accepted.

Taxonomy

The genus was described by Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck and published in Flora Brasiliensis seu Enumeratio Plantarum 2(1): 319. 1829. The type species is: Arthropogon villosus
