Arberella is a genus of phanerogams in the Poaceae family. It is native to the Caribbean and central Brazil in the Amazon.

Etymology

The generic name was given in honor of Agnes Robertson Arber, an eminent British morphologist.

Cytology

The basic chromosome number of the genus is x = 11, with somatic chromosome numbers of 2n = 22, diploid.
