The araliaceae, family Araliaceae (1300 species, 50 genera), are a family of plants in the order apiales, which includes the ivy ( Hedera spp., particularly Hedera helix) and ginseng (Panax spp., native to Korea and for medicinal use).

Description

They are woody or rarely herbaceous plants, often lianas. Alternate leaves, simple or divided.
