Apache is a 1954 American film directed by Robert Aldrich and based on the novel Bronco Apache by Paul Wellman, which starred by Burt Lancaster.

Synopsis

After the Apache chief Geronimo (Monte Blue) surrenders, the last warrior of that nation, the Massai (Burt Lancaster), is imprisoned with the idea of sending him to an Indian reservation in Florida, far from his own territory. Massai manages to escape and walks to her land, where he will pick up her partner Nalinle (Jean Peters) and settle with her somewhere where they are safe and can farm the land. However, one day the US army discovers his whereabouts and Massai will have to prepare for his last battle against them.

Influence and legacy

The film was a huge success. In Spain, a series of comics with his title was published trying to take advantage of his popularity, although they did not have similar arguments.
