Synopsis
Falk (Jason Biggs) is a young comedy writer who is hopelessly in love with Amanda (Christina Ricci), a troubled and neurotic girl. On his daily walks through Central Park, Falk chats with his mentor, an aging comedy writer named Dobel (Woody Allen). He always advises him about comedy and sex, as well as encouraging him to have weapons in the house, in case something happened and he had to defend his integrity. However, when Amanda's mother, Mrs. Paula (Stockard Channing) decides to move into the apartment that Falk shares with his beloved, problems begin, as he must not only face her, but his own inability to write, the paranoia from Dobel, to his clumsy bore and agent (Danny DeVito) and, of course, Amanda and her increasingly intense craziness.
