Boxing

The sport of the nose is rooted in the Colombian Caribbean Coast, the cradle of most of the world champions Colombia has given.

From August 6 to 22, 1938, the I Bolivarian Games were held in Bogotá, in which Colombia won a gold medal in an international tournament. It was achieved by the weight Walter Zenón Vellojín Espinoza.

  • Bernardo Caraballo. Tachyllero fighter from the 1960s. He was the first Colombian to contest a world title, losing to Brazilian Eder Jofre in Bogotá in 1964. Then again he tried without success against Fighting Harada.
