Contenido Rowing at the 1980 Moscow Olympics had 14 categories, both men's and women's. The events were held at the Man-made Basin in (Krylatskoye district, Moscow). The rowing schedule began on 20 July and ended on 27 July. Due to the boycott of the Western countries, some rowing powers were absent. That is why East Germany was the great dominator with 14 medals, 11 of them gold, in 14 categories.
