The Goya Awards were created by the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences in 1986.

The following list shows the list of all the winners of the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor since the first edition of 1986.

The actors who have obtained the greatest number of Goya awards for "best supporting male performance" are Juan Diego, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba and Karra Elejalde with 2 awards (in the case of Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, they were also obtained in consecutive years).

The actors who have won the Goya award for "best leading male performance" and "best supporting male performance" are: Fernando Fernán Gómez, Juan Echanove, Carmelo Gómez, Javier Bardem, Eduard Fernández, Luis Tosar, Juan Diego and Javier Camara.

Award-winning interpreters and younger and older candidates

  • Premiado de menor: Gabino Diego, con 24 años, por Oh, Carmela! (V edition, 1990).
  • Older woman: Tony Leblanc, 76, for Torrente, the dumb arm of the law (XIII edition, 1998).
  • A minor candidate: Jorge Sanz, 19, by The Lute II: tomorrow I will be free (III edition, 1988).
