The Goya Awards were created by the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences in 1986.

The following list shows the list of all the winners of the Goya Award for Best New Actress, a category created by the Academy in the IX edition of 1994.

The only performer who has won Goya awards for "best lead performance", "best supporting performance" and "best newcomer" is the actress Laia Marull, who won the award for best newcomer in 2000 for Fugitivas, the award for best leading female performance in 2003 for Te doy mis ojos, and the award for best supporting female performance in 2010 for Pa black.

In the IX edition of the 1994 Goya Awards, the three candidates for «best new actress» were for the same film, Días contados (Ruth Gabriel, Candela Peña and Elvira Mínguez), getting it first. And in that same edition, Ruth Gabriel won the nomination for the "best leading role" and the "best revelation" for the same role, and the actress Candela Peña the nomination for the "best supporting role" and the "best revelation". Of all these nominations, the award was only won by Ruth Gabriel for the "best new actress".

Since the XXVI edition (2011) to be a candidate in any acting category (including that of revelation actor or actress) the only condition is being over 16 years of age, regardless of nationality or language in which the interpreter and his character speak. Before that edition, a dozen children under 16 years of age were candidates for the acting awards, seven of them winning: Andoni Erburu (10 years old), Ivana Baquero (12 years old), Nerea Camacho (12 years old), Juan José Ballesta (13 years old), years old), Francesc Colomer (14 years old), Marina Comas (15 years old) and María Valverde (16 years old).
