The following is a list of groups, organizations, and festivals that recognize achievement and merit in the film field by awarding various awards.
Movie Awards
Latin America
Ibero-America
- American Indian Film Festival, which rewards the best of television and film whose original version is an indigenous language of America.
- Cinemas from the South Granada (Alhambra de Oro to films produced in Asia, Africa and Ibero-America).
- Platinum Awards (advised by the Audiovisual Producer's Rights Management Entity (EGEDA) in collaboration with the Ibero-American Film and Audiovisual Producers Federation (FIPCA), the Ibero-American Film Academy, Latin Artist and the support of the Film Institutes, to recognize the professionals of the Ibero-American film industry, films whose nationalities are European, North America, Central America, Central America. - Costa Rica's International Film Festival, commonly abbreviated to CRFIC, is a cinematographic event that invites the Costa Rican Cinéfil public to appreciate the best of the cinematography of Costa Rica, Latin America and international. Directors, actors, producers, advisors, specialists and managers from all over the world participate in meetings, debates and training activities.

- Caracol Award (torted by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba).
- Coral Awards of the International Festival of the New Latin American Film of Havana.
Ecuador Ecuador
- Colibrí Award awarded by the Academy of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Arts of Ecuador.
- Augusto San Miguel Cultural Award is a recognition given every year by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador to the best cinematographic works of Ecuadorian cinema. It is awarded in fiction and documentary categories.
- Ecuador's Zero Latitude Festival is an annual exhibition of Latin American author cinema, founded in 2003. The festival is held in the cities of Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca. The Festival's proposal focuses on the diffusion and support of the new Latin independent cinema, through competition between the works of the directors of the region and the creation of spaces for reflection and training.

- The San Salvador Film Award is a recognition given every year by the Ministry of Education of San Salvador to the best cinematographic works of Salvadoran cinema. It is awarded in fiction and documentary categories. There is also an award for the best Iberom American foreign film whose original version is not English.

- Berlanga Awards (Valencian Film Awards), awarded by EAVF (Federated Audiovisual Companies), to the best Valencian audiovisuals.
- Premios Fotogramas de Plata, awarded by the Spanish film magazine Photograms. The awards to films are carried out by specialized criticism and those granted to interpreters are chosen by the public.
- Biznaga de Oro, awarded by the Malaga Spanish Film Festival.
- The Sant Jordi Film Awards — initially called San Jorge Film Awards— they are one of Spain's oldest film awards. They are granted annually by Radio Nacional de España (RNE) through their delegation in Barcelona since 1957.

- Union of Actors Awards, awarded by the Union of Actors, to the best performances in theater, cinema and television.

- Zinemira Award, awarded by the San Sebastian International Film Festival and the Basque Government Council for Culture, to a leading personality of Basque cinema.
- ACIB Award, awarded by the Association of Filmmakers of the Balearic Islands (ACIB).
- Gold Medal, awarded by the Academy of Arts and Film Sciences of Spain, in recognition of those who have contributed with their professional career to improve Spanish cinema in the industrial or artistic aspect.
- Gonzalez Sinde Award, awarded by the Academy of Arts and Film Sciences of Spain, to institutions or people who use the cinematographic medium for the achievement of social ends.
- Muñoz Suay Award, awarded by the Academy of Arts and Film Sciences of Spain, for the best historical research on Spanish cinema.
- Chomon Second Prize, awarded by the Academy of Arts and Film Sciences of Spain, to recognize the merit of the technical contributions that have benefited the film industry.
