Alvimia

Alvimia is a genus with three species of plants in the Poaceae family. It is native to Brazil. It includes 6 described species and of these, only 5 accepted.

The genus was described by Calderón ex Soderstr. & Londoño and published in American Journal of Botany 75(6): 833. 1988. The type species is: Alvimia auriculata Soderstr. & Londono
