In Greek mythology, Alifero or Halifero (Ἀλίφηρος) was an Arcadian prince, son of Lycaon. He founded the city of Alifera, in the region of Arcadia, which was then very unpopulated.

Like his brothers, he stood out for his impiety, to such an extent that Zeus himself went to his palace, disguised as a beggar or a farmer, to check if the rumors about his atrocities were true. Having witnessed signs about the divinity of his guest, the sons of Lycaon decided to murder one of his brothers (Nyctimus) and serve him for dinner, mixed with animal entrails, in order to prove whether or not he was a god. But Zeus, immediately realizing how abominable the delicacy was, brought Nictimus back to life and struck down his murderers with his thunderbolts, or turned them into wolves.
