Alejandro José González, better known as Álex González (Madrid, August 13, 1980), is a Spanish actor, known for having played Javier Morey in < i>El Príncipe (2014-2016) and Mario Mendoza in Living without permission (2018-2020), both from Telecinco.

Biography

Álex began his career as an actor on television, in series such as Un paso siempre, Hospital Central, Los Serrano and Motivos Personals, in which he replaced Miguel Ángel Silvestre to play his character, Nacho Mendoza, in the second season of the series. He has also participated as a protagonist in series such as Countback, LEX, La Señora, Tierra de lobos and the miniseries Innocentes. During 2014 and 2015 she starred in The Prince, a series that catapulted him to fame, giving him great recognition from the public.

He made his film debut with the boxing-themed film Second Assault in 2005, with which he was nominated for the Goya for Best New Actor. Later it was directed by Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón in < i>Una rosa de Francia (2006) and by José Luis Garci in Luz de Domingo (2007), adaptation of a novel by Ramón Pérez de Ayala with an Asturian setting. A few years later, after appearing for a casting while he was studying English in Great Britain, he was able to debut in Hollywood as part of the cast of the superhero film X-Men: First Class (2011), playing the character from Riptide. Later, in Alacrán amor (2013) he played a young neo-Nazi who belonged to a group led by Javier Bardem.

In 2016 he released Noctem, recorded in the summer of 2015 with Adrián Lastra and Carla Nieto, and Órbita 9, in which he starred with Clara Lago and Belén Rueda. Also He traveled to Los Angeles to film an American series called Citizen, of which the pilot episode was recorded, but which was finally canceled.

In April 2017, he returned to Spain to begin filming the Telecinco series Vivir sin permit, alongside José Coronado, in which he was the protagonist playing Mario Mendoza during the two seasons of the series. In 2021 he was one of the protagonists of the Amazon Prime Video series 3 Caminos, along with Verónica Echegui, Anna Schimrigk, Andrea Bosca, Alberto Jo Lee and Cecilia Suárez. That same year he starred in, along with María Valverde, the Netflix original film We were songs, directed by Juana Macías and based on the novels by Elísabet Benavent. In addition, it was incorporated into the second season of Toy Boy and his signing as the main protagonist for the Prime Video series Operación Marea Negra was announced.
