Alberto Montellanos
Alberto Montellanos was a Peruvian soccer player. He was born in the city of Lima in the year 1899. He emerged in the Sport José Gálvez club, later acting in Alianza Lima from 1922 to 1935, playing a total of 86 games, scoring 44 goals. He won five championships with the blue and white club in 1927, 1928, 1931, 1932 and 1933.
They called him the Snake Man for his way of moving on the field to avoid rivals. A player with a powerful shot, he was one of the first scorers in the history of the Alianza Lima club. Famous for the great goal he scored against the & # 34; Divino & # 34; Zamora when Deportivo Español visited Lima in 1926. He was a member of the first Peruvian team with which he participated in the 1927 Copa América, where he started in all the games, scoring the winning goal, in the first victory of a Peruvian team, against Bolivia (3-2). In addition, he scored the only goal in the first Peru vs Chile match in history, during the 1935 Copa América. He worked as a worker in the Tejidos La Victoria factory.
