Alberto de Mendoza
Alberto Manuel Rodríguez Gallego González de Mendoza, better known as Alberto de Mendoza (Buenos Aires, January 21, 1923 - Madrid, December 12, 2011), He was an Argentine actor.
Biography
Alberto Manuel Rodríguez Gallego González de Mendoza was born in Buenos Aires, on Avenida Cabildo and Maure. He was an archetypal Buenos Aires actor, he starred in highly successful films in the 1950-60s and his fame transcended Argentina.
He was orphaned at the age of five and was raised by his grandmother in Madrid. At the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939 he returned to Buenos Aires, and then returned to Spain in 1960. His career spanned between Argentina and Spain with filming in Italy and France, in action, horror and spaghetti western films.
Throughout his career he has filmed more than 100 films, acting in theater and television. He acted alongside Alberto Closas, Sara Montiel, Olga Zubarry, Delia Garcés, Ernesto Bianco, Jack Palance, Telly Savalas, Irene Papas, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Silvia Pinal in the film La dulce enemiga by (1957) with the character of Ricardo, and other screen greats.
His cinematic consecration came in 1950 in Filomena Marturano, with Tita Merello, specializing at that time in roles of young profiteers. His leading roles came towards the end of the decade, standing out in The Boss (Fernando Ayala, 1958). At the beginning of Argentine television he had an impact role in the program Yo y un Millon (Francisco Guerrero, 1960, Channel 7), before trying his luck in Spain, where he developed an extensive career..
He died in Madrid, Spain, on December 12, 2011, at the age of 88, after spending several days in the Clínica de la Luz due to respiratory failure.

Alberto de Mendoza was the winner of numerous awards, including:
- The Silver Condor to the best actor, in 1958 and 1982, for his papers in the movies The bossFernando Ayala, and Hell so fearedRaúl de la Torre, respectively.
- ACE (New York) Award for Best Television actor East (1982).
- The Konex Award - Merit Diploma in 1981.
- In 2009 he received the AISGE Foundation's Acta Award for careers. It was partner number 136 of the entity.
- In 2010 he was awarded the best actor for his work in the film The bad truthat the Malaga Festival.
- In 2010 during the Martin Fierro Awards ceremony he was honored and given a placket celebrating the 30 years of the successful series The Rafathe actor starred.
