Alarm call
"Alarm Call" is a single released in November 1998 by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk. It belongs to Homogenic, an album released in 1997.
About the song
The song Alarm Call was written by Björk and produced by Björk. The song talks about being reborn through music. It is rumored that the song is dedicated to Michael Jackson.
Music Video
The music video was produced by Me Company, a graphic design firm based in London. Directed by Alexander McQueen.
In this one, Björk is lying on a raft in the middle of a swamp where she plays with crocodiles, crickets, snakes and fish, among other animals.
The version of the song that appears in the video is Alarm Call but with increased speed, as well as remixed by Matmos, although really almost all the music is changed, the bass remains the same, the beginning is repeated at the end of the song etc. In this way a more Pop-Dance version of the theme was created.
It is rumored to be the continuation of Bachelorette in the Isobel saga (Human Behavior, Isobel and Bachelorette), since it could be that, also tired of the city, Isobel returns to the countryside to live among nature.
