Charles Alfred Taliaferro (August 29, 1905 - February 3, 1969) better known as Al Taliaferro was a comic artist who worked on comic strips with characters from The Walt Disney Company.

He is well known for his work with Donald Duck, although in his beginnings he participated in the Mickey Mouse humorous strips that were published in newspapers.

Between 1932 and 1939, he dealt with the Silly Symphonies series. In 1934, he drew his first Donald Duck cartoon: The Wise Duckling.

Taliaferro created a large number of characters, including Huey, Dewey and Louie, Bolívar, Pascual and Grandma Duck. Many of those characters were inspired by members of his family or environment. Thus, for example, his friends said that they could not see Daisy, Donald's girlfriend, without thinking of Lucy, Taliaferro's wife; Grandma Duck was also the portrait of Lucy's mother.

He drew Donald Duck comics from 1934 until his death in 1969.
