Agustín Díaz Pacheco (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, July 3, 1952) is a Spanish writer.

Biography

Writer, university graduate as a Social Graduate (Labor Relations) and Law studies. He has written poetry sporadically, appearing on the digital page canariasdigital.org, but he has opted for vocational journalism and narrative creation.

Some of his stories, chosen from 2004 to 2007, integrating the syllabus of the University of Georgia (USA), which brings together texts by the writers Rubén Darío, Roberto Arlt, Julio Cortázar, Juan Rulfo, Jorge Luis Borges, Alfonso Sastre, Mario Benedetti, Eduardo Galeano, Ernesto Sabato or Elena Poniatowska, to lead different projects analyzing Hispanic literature.

For seven years he was Literary Director of the New Canarian Writings Collection for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

He has won several literary awards. He is director and coordinator of the supplement Signos Culturales (pepevaros.com). His texts have been translated into French, Croatian, German and English.

To his credit, two unpublished novels.

It has been selected by the magazine Discoplay (Madrid, July 1987), along with works by authors such as: Salman Rushdie, Malcolm Lowry, Carmen Martín Gaite, Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, Ambrose Bierce, Adolfo Bioy Casares or Giovanni Guareschi.
