Agatha is a 1979 film that was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Costume Design.

Plot

The famous detective story writer Agatha Christie mysteriously disappeared for eleven days in 1926. Based on this reality, the film develops a story that begins with the divorce petition she makes to Agatha Christie (Vanessa Redgrave) to her husband Archibald (Timothy Dalton). Seeing her marriage ruined for her, Agatha takes refuge in a spa without leaving her address. The whole country is looking for her, since she is a famous and beloved character. At the end of it, it will be an American journalist (Dustin Hoffman) who finds her and helps her overcome her setbacks.
