Air sports on postal stamp of the USSR - 1938

The aeronautical sports, also aerial sports, are sports that demand not only the physical capacity of the athlete but also their ability, dexterity, competitiveness, desire to excel and respect for the rules and for the rest of the athletes. Air sports contribute to the education of the body and mind in a technical environment and in a singularly beautiful environment such as the air.

Regulation

The air sports are governed internationally by the International Aeronautical Federation and nationally by flying clubs and/or sports federations, with a list of these national organizations available on the FAI website.
