Adware
A program of class adware (adware) is any program that automatically displays or delivers advertising, whether embedded in a web page through graphics, banners, floating windows, or during the installation of a program to the user, in order to generate profit for its authors. The word adware corresponds to the set of words "advertising" (advertising) and "software" (program), to refer to advertising systems based on computer programming.
Some adware programs are also shareware, and in these, users have the option of paying for a licensed or registered version, which usually removes ads.
Ad-supported software
There are some programs intended to assist the user in finding and modifying adware programs, to block the display of advertisements or to remove parts of spyware. To avoid backlash, with the entire advertising industry in general, adware creators must balance their attempts to generate revenue with the user's desire not to be bothered. Keep in mind that many times the user inadvertently clicks on disguised links in order to download malware, it is best to be careful, especially in the links of YouTube tutorial videos and videos that are often shared on social networks.
As malware
It is sometimes considered spyware, when it forces the user to use a certain web browser, as it could be used to monitor user activity. This has drawn criticism from security experts and privacy advocates. Other adware programs do not track the user's personal information.
Adware Bundle
An adware package (in English adware bundle) is an installation file that contains several tools where some of them are useful and others are not, the latter are typically adware (example Player.filezog. com, Newchannel.club, Gretaith.com and Filetour). Often these installers are downloaded from software distribution sites or via Internet file sharing platforms (eg torrent). That is why it is advisable to download software exclusively from well-known trustworthy websites that take care of their reputation.
When a user downloads and runs the setup file, it installs all the tools in the package. Sometimes the installation is done directly. Other times the program strongly suggests that you choose a 'recommended' way to do so. to be able to install all the applications. Most of the clients neglect the description of the ways and thoughtlessly invite such malware programs.
It is common for installed adware to change browser controls, modify the home page URL, and write additional values to a registry to prevent removal if attempted. Such a process leads to an avalanche of advertising banners on all sites, and after a while, the weakened browser cannot deal with other attacks, and your workstation will be totally overwhelmed with malicious tools.
