Adobe Animate CC
Adobe Animate (formerly known as Adobe Flash Professional, Macromedia Flash, and FutureSplash Animator) is one of the best-known programs from the Adobe company, along with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. It is an application for the creation and manipulation of vector graphics with the possibility of managing code through a scripting language called ActionScript. Animate is an animation studio that works on "still frames" and is intended for the production and delivery of interactive content for different audiences around the world regardless of the platform. It is currently developed and marketed by Adobe Systems Incorporated and is part of the Adobe Creative Suite family, its distribution comes in different presentations, ranging from its individual form or as part of a package, these being: Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium, Adobe Creative Web Suite Premium and Web Standard, Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium and Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection. It is used on advertising animations, animated short films and animated series, among others.
Adobe Animate uses vector and raster graphics, sound, program code, video streaming, and two-way audio (upstreaming is only available when used in conjunction with Macromedia Flash Communication Server). In the strict sense, Animate is the development environment and Flash Player is the player used to view the files generated with Flash. In other words, Adobe Animate creates and edits the animations or media files, and Adobe Flash Player plays them.
Adobe Animate playable files, which generally have the SWF file extension, can appear on a web page for viewing in a web browser, or can be played independently by a Flash player.
History
It was launched in May 1996 by a small development company called FutureWave Software and its original name was FutureSplash Animator, after its acquisition in December 1996 by Macromedia, it became known as Macromedia Flash 1.0. In previous releases, Macromedia extended Flash beyond simple animations into a complete development tool, primarily for creating multimedia and interactive elements for the Internet.
In December 2005, Adobe purchases Macromedia and its products, including Flash, which is renamed Adobe Flash. In 2007, Adobe released Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. It was included as part of the Creative Suite of products from CS3 to CS6, until Adobe removed the Creative Suite lineup in favor of Creative Cloud (CC).
On December 1, 2015, Adobe announced that the program would be renamed Adobe Animate in its next major update. The decision comes as part of an effort to decouple the program from Adobe Flash Player, acknowledging its increasing use for the creation of HTML5 and video content, and an effort to begin discouraging the use of Flash Player in favor of standards-based solutions. Web. The first version under the new name was released on February 8, 2016.
Features
Adobe Animate and animation
Like other types of programs such as photoshop, we can establish that it is one of the best from Adobe compared to its ancestor versions such as Adobe Flash. Adobe Animate organizes images and sounds into layers and frames to create 2D animations. These animations can be exported in different video formats (.avi,.mov,.mp4...), as ".png" or in ".gif" format. They can also be played instantly by a Flash player, integrated (or not) in the browser.
Adobe Animate works primarily with traditional animation, that is, frame by frame. It allows you to divide each frame into layers and draw on a mostly vector basis. Despite this, the program has some methods to facilitate the creation of animations, such as motion tweens, it consists of the sequence of independent frames taken from one point to another, when reproduced it gives the sensation of movement without the need to draw each frame. In the latest versions, the program gives the possibility of integrating bone structures to the objects that facilitate their manipulation and allow to generate more natural movements, new moldable brushes and the possibility of using cameras have also been included.
The show became famous on the internet when the era of "flash animations" (Animate was still called Macromedia Flash at the time.) A "boom" on video platforms such as YouTube or Newgrounds, where animated content began to be uploaded with this program since at that time it was one of the few accessible animation programs on the Internet. When the program was acquired by Adobe, it lost some of its fame as it was no longer as easy to acquire.
Formerly the program was designed for animation and Adobe Flash Player content, but now, since Adobe changed its name to "Animate", the program focuses on working on top of HTML5 and mostly animation. The company has been improving the program since 2015 to transform it into a professional animation tool, competing with programs like Toon Boom Animation.
