Chikorita

Number: 152Type: Planta Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: NoneEvolved to: Bayleef (level 16)

Chikorita (チコリータ Chikorita?) is a Grass-type Pokémon. It is one of the starter Pokémon to be chosen by the player in the Johto region.

Its name comes from chicory (Chicory, a type of plant) and the diminutive in Spanish -ita.

Chikorita is a light green, docile and skittish Pokémon that feeds on sunlight by photosynthesising the leaf on its head. This leaf serves both to detect temperature and humidity and to emanate a soft aroma that calms those around it.

Chikorita is based on a dinosaur. In addition, it presents a necklace of seeds around its neck. These seeds will grow and germinate as Chikorita evolves.

Bayleef

Number: 153Type: Planta Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: Chikorita (level 16)Evolved to: Meganium (level 36)

Bayleef (ベイリーフ Beirīfu?, Bayleaf) evolves from Chikorita at level 16.

Its name comes from the English bay (laurel) and leaf (leaf).

Evolving from Chikorita, its neck and tail are elongated, giving it a resemblance to a sauropod dinosaur. The seeds in its neck ring grow larger, about to germinate. Also, it turns yellow and the leaf on its head gets bigger.

From the seeds of the neck of Bayleef comes a pungent odor that acts as a stimulant and restorative. Unlike the scent that Chikorita produced, Bayleef's scent induces wild Pokémon to behave in a rebellious and bellicose manner.

Meganium

Number: 154Type: Planta Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: Bayleef (level 36)Evolved to: None

Meganium (メガニウム Meganiumu?, Meganium) evolves from Bayleef at level 36.

Its name comes from the prefix mega- (big) and the English geranium (geranium).

Meganiums are usually sweet, but due to their large size and weight they can be careless and dangerous. When evolving from Bayleaf its size increases, especially its neck, which becomes much longer, and its color returns to the light green of Chikorita. Bayleaf's neck seeds germinate and develop into a flower that opens around its neck. In addition, the leaf that it had on the head is transformed into two stamens, which are longer in males than in females.

The fragrance emitted by the flower on your neck acts as a relaxant that calms aggression. His breath is capable of regenerating dry vegetation, bringing it back to life.

Number: 155Type: Fuego Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: NoneEvolved to: Quilava (level 14)

Cyndaquil (ヒノアラシ Hinoarashi?) is a Fire-type Pokémon. It is one of the starter Pokémon to be chosen by the player in the Johto region.

Its name comes from the English cinder (ash) and quill (spike or thorn).

Cyndaquil is a shy and small Pokémon resembling an echidna. One of its most notorious features is that it can light its flame at will, unlike other fire-type Pokémon.

Her skin is bluish on the upper part of her body, but creamy on the underside. Although it is called the 'Fire Mouse' Pokémon, Cyndaquil resembles more of an echidna. His eyes remain closed due to his young age. Its flames sprout from four red points that it presents on its back. It lacks claws on its front feet, but has one claw on its hind feet.

Quilava

Number: 156.Type: Fuego Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: Cyndaquil (level 14)Evolved to: Typhlosion (level 36)

Quilava (マグマラシ Magumarashi?) is a Fire-type Pokémon. Evolves from Cyndaquil at level 14.

Its name is formed by the combination of the English words quill (the quills of the porcupines) and lava (lava, magma). Its Japanese name Magmarashi could come from magma (magma, lava) and arashi (storm), so it would literally mean "magma storm". His French name, Feurisson, comes from the words, feu (fire) and hérisson (hedgehog). His German name, Igelavar, comes from the words iger (Hedgehog) and lava.

Resembles some kind of mustelid. Like its pre-evolution and evolution, it has holes that allow it to light its flames at will, but when it evolves its position changes: now it has them on its head, forming a plume when lit, and at the base of its torso. Unlike Cyndaquill, her eyes are now open and they are red in color. It can run and evade attacks faster than its pre-evolution, as it has longer front legs and allows it to reach higher speeds. Quilava can keep her enemies at bay with the intensity of her flames and blasts of super-hot air. She applies her outstanding agility to evade attacks even as she embraces her enemy with her flames.

Typhlosion

Number: 157Type: Fuego Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: Quilava (level 36)Evolved to: None

Typhlosion (バクフーン Bakufūn?, Bakphoon) is a Fire-type Pokémon. It is the third and final stage of Cyndaquil.

Its name comes from the English typhoon (Typhoon, Greek titan enclosed under Etna) and explosion (explosion).

Resembles some kind of mustelid. Unlike his pre-evolutions, he has the holes where his flames come out on his back, between his shoulders. He is much faster and larger than his past forms, almost as tall as a grown man. In addition, it can stand on its hind legs, which allows it to perform attacks with its upper limbs.

Despite being omnivorous, it is still a great hunter. Using the method of stalking, its bulk, large fangs and robust limbs, it is capable of hunting prey that is larger than it. However, it is a very versatile Pokémon in terms of its diet, since everything within its reach will be well used by it: fruits, carrion, eggs, etc.

Active during the day and night. He has developed great intelligence so he knows exactly how and when to launch himself against an unsuspecting Pokémon. His character and aggressiveness makes him lonely. It is the initial Pokémon that helps the most in the adventure of all that exist and is also the strongest initial Pokémon.

Number: 158Type: Agua Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: NoneEvolved to: Croconaw (level 18)

Totodile (ワニノコ Waninoko?) is a Water-type Pokémon. It is one of the starter Pokémon to be chosen by the player in the Johto region.

Its name comes from the English crocodile (crocodile) and gnaw (to nibble).

He is based on an alligator. In addition, the marks that he has on his gut are reminiscent of the cliché clothing of a caveman. He has 48 fangs in his jaw that grow back if they break. These fangs are shaped like a hook, making it very difficult for its prey to escape once it has already bitten.

He is based entirely on a bipedal alligator. It is light blue in color with a yellow spot on the lower jaw and belly. It has red dorsal fins and plates on the arms, thighs and tail. It is bigger and heavier than its pre-evolutions. He is also fiercer and stronger. Although it can move only with its hind legs, it is faster when it uses its four legs.

Number: 161Type: Normal Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: NoneEvolved to: Furret (level 15)

Sentret (オタチ Otachi?) is a Normal-type Pokémon.

Its name comes from the English sentry (sentry) and ferret (ferret).

Its design includes elements of many animals of today. Thus, the way it stands upright with its tail resembles a kangaroo, the same tail is based on that of a raccoon, it has rabbit ears, and its arms have a certain resemblance to those of a flying squirrel.

Spends days foraging for food and guarding its burrow. She has far-reaching eyesight and is able to lean on her tail to increase her range of vision. Also, the cry of him is very strong, which makes him a very good sentinel. He lives in a group. At night, one of the members stays on duty. He doesn't like to be alone: if he is alone and feels attacked he will run away. It is a migratory Pokémon: when winter comes entire colonies move to warm places.

Furret

Number: 162Type: Normal Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: Sentret (level 15)Evolved to: None

Furret (オオタチ Ōtachi?) is a Normal-type Pokémon. It is the second and last stage of Sentret.

Its name comes from the English fur (fur) and ferret (ferret)

He appears to be based entirely on the short-legged ferret, but the markings on his face resemble what the archetypal Native American would have on his face.

Furret's legs are very short in relation to its body, but it's still agile and fast, making it useful for cornering Pokemon like Rattata. Their nests, made in the ground, are so narrow that only they, thanks to their thin constitution, can enter.

Ledian is known as the 5-star Pokémon because the dots on its back glow red with the first stars that come out at dusk. They use the light from these as a source of energy. It is said that they live in areas with clean air and good visibility of the stars.

Ledians are sexually dimorphic: males have longer antennae than females.

Spinarak

Number: 167.Type: Bicho Pokemon.svg Veneno Pokemon.svgEvolucine of: NoneEvolved to: Ariados (level 22)

Its name comes from the English spinneret (row) and arachnid (arachnid).

Spinarak is based on a spider, specifically the Theridion grallator, known for presenting a face on its thorax.

The thread with which they weave their web is fine but very resistant, being able to support the weight of 10 kg without breaking, which is why some fishermen use Spinarak threads to make nets. Once the web has been woven, it waits for the prey to fall into it, maintaining the same position for days. Spinarak can detect small vibrations in the net to determine what prey has fallen into it. The venom from its fangs is not very toxic, but it can immobilize prey that falls into its web. Their favorite prey is cutiefly.

It is capable of launching its web from both its mouth and its tail. Unlike Spinarak, she does not wait in the web for prey to fall into it, but instead wanders in search of food herself. He captures his prey, such as Pikachu, encasing them in a layer of webbing that they cannot break through, leaving them defenseless. After this, she eats them or moves them to her nest. It essentially feeds on insects, berries, and tree fruits. If a grapple is too strong, you can use the delay shot attack to buy time and take cover. Ariados' legs end in spikes that allow it to walk on vertical surfaces or upside down.

Chinchou lives in very deep and dark waters, which is why it has developed a communication system based on light signals generated by electricity and bioluminescence. What appear to be its antennae are actually charged tentacles with a positive and a negative pole, which allows it to generate electricity. With these antennae it attracts its prey, from Tentacool to Seaking. When threatened, he uses these tentacles to produce electricity and try to stun the enemy. When together, multiple Chinchou can combine their attacks to generate more powerful lightning bolts.

Although they usually live underwater, they are able to walk on dry land thanks to their small legs, but they dehydrate quickly, so they can't stay out of water for long.

Its name comes from the English lantern (lantern) and urn (urn).

Lanturn is inspired by a cetacean and a fish hook, due to their physical resemblance, their behavior and their habitat.

Lanturn has an antenna that splits in two. Each of these antennae ends in an orb containing bacteria that produce a chemical reaction that generates electricity and light. Thus Lanturn can emit its own light with which it illuminates its path, blinds and confuses its prey. It lives in the depths of the ocean, reaching a depth of 5 km to hunt. Compete with Lumineon for prey.

Its name comes from the acronym in English ESP (Extra Sensory Perception, extrasensory perception, from which espers derive), and eon, the original name that Eevee was going to have, and the suffix that all its evolutions carry.

Espeon is shaped like a cat, making him very different from Eevee. He has a great intuition for the things that happen around him, even having premonitions of the future on some occasions. It is a Pokémon with very good speed and special attack. Their large ears listen to members of their pack up to two kilometers away, and their whiskers are sensitive to movement. This Pokémon has the ability to read air currents which allows it to predict the future, in the same way it predicts its opponent's movements, which makes it a worthy opponent.

Espeon is a very fine, delicate and pretentious Pokémon but strong when it comes to fighting. Her gem glows in the dark and moments before she has a premonition. When the gem has a deep red color, it means that it feels happy, but when its color changes to a pale pink tone, it means that it feels great sadness. His fur is purple. When the bond between Eevee and its trainer is high enough, and it gets used to training Eevee at dusk or at night, it will be ready to evolve into Umbreon. This Pokémon has all its black fur, except for yellow circumferences, which it can illuminate at will. It looks like a black fox, its red eyes are sinister, striking and adapted to the dark. This Pokémon has a kind of link with the night moon. When becoming a Dark-type Pokémon, it will be very suspicious and will often measure the power and spiritual strength of its trainer, although it is a very honest Pokémon and faithful to its trainer. He has a very surly character, and usually walks alone. It is a strategic Pokémon and cold when it comes to thinking, typical of a sinister Pokémon. His character often makes him lose control, as it is the biggest mindset change among Eevee's evolutions.

Umbreon is a perfect tactician at night, crouching in the undergrowth and cautiously waiting for a victim to walk past him. Once the prey is close, it will illuminate its rings with its maximum brightness, to paralyze the victim and prevent it from escaping. Feeling angry, he gives off poisonous sweat.
