A gift for dad
A Gift for Dad is a 1994 American film.
Plot
Frank (Michael Patrick Carter) and his gang have had an idea. They pool their savings and go with their bicycles to the big city. There they intend to give the money to a young professional so that she can undress in front of them. In an attempt to find a suitable woman, they meet Uve (Melanie Griffith), a nice and kind prostitute. They establish a good relationship with her, to the point that Uve takes them home in her car. Since it is late, Frank offers to sleep in the cabin that has been built in the garden, in the branches of a tree. Tom Wheeler (Ed Harris), Frank's father, is a widower and has not remade his life. When he meets Uve, her son introduces her as one of her teachers. But when Wheeler begins to warm to Uve, his "pimp" appears. (Malcolm McDowell) and things get complicated.

Reception
The film was rejected by critics upon its release. Siskel & Ebert gave Milk Money "two thumbs down" and speculated that the film may have been made by Hollywood executives with an affinity for prostitutes and a desire to make films about them, not knowing of women in other professions. In writing, Ebert chose not to give a negative review. conventional, if not treating the film as the result of a conversation among a group of studio executives.
