A Farewell to Arms (English: A Farewell to Arms) is a 1932 drama directed by Frank Borzage. It is inspired by a novel written by Ernest Hemingway in 1929.

Synopsis

The plot takes place in Italy during World War I, and revolves around the relationship between Frederic Henry (Gary Cooper), an American soldier, and Catherine Barkley (Helen Hayes), an English nurse.
