(8744) Cilla is an asteroid that is part of the asteroid belt and was discovered on March 20, 1998 by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research team from the Experimental Test Site, in Socorro, United States.
Designation and name
Cilla was initially designated as 1998 FE59. Later, in 1999, he was named in honor of Priscilla Annette (1994-1998), granddaughter of a Lincoln Laboratory team member.
Orbital characteristics
Cilla orbits at an average distance of 3,124 ua from the Sun, being able to get as close as 2,578 ua and as far as 3,669 ua.
