(861) Aïda is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt discovered on January 22, 1917 by Maximilian Franz Wolf from the Heidelberg-Königstuhl observatory, Germany. It is named after the opera of the same name by the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901).
