The year 58 (LVIII) was a common year beginning on a Sunday of the Julian calendar, in force on that date.

In the Roman Empire, it was known as the Year of the Consulate of Caesar and Messala (or less frequently, year 811 Ab urbe condita). The designation 58 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini became the prevalent European method of naming years.
