(3907) Kilmartin is an asteroid that is part of the asteroid belt and was discovered by Maximilian Franz Wolf on August 14, 1904 from the Heidelberg-Königstuhl Observatory, Germany.

Designation and name

Kilmartin was originally designated the A904 PC. Later, in 1989, at the suggestion of Brian Marsden, he was named in honor of the New Zealand astronomer Pamela Kilmartin.

Orbital characteristics

Kilmartin is located at an average distance from the Sun of 2,793 AU, being able to get as close as 2,452 AU and as far as 3,133 AU. It has an eccentricity of 0.1218 and an orbital inclination of 11.01 degrees. It takes 1705 days to complete an orbit around the Sun.
