Persian Empire

  • The king of the Aquemenid Empire Artaxerxes II launches an invasion against Egypt to attract that kingdom back to the Persian government (See Dinastía XXVII and Dinastía XXXI of Egypt). The invasion is guided by Farnabazo II. After initial successes, the Greek mercenaries of the aquemended army push Menfis. However, Pharaoh Nectanebo I is able to gather his strength and reject the Persian invasion.
