Events
Greece
- In a pan-Hellenic conference held in Corinth, Philip II of Macedonia announces the formation of the League of Corinth to liberate the Greek cities of Asia Minor from the Persian rule, ostensibly because the Persian king, Arses, rejects Philip for the help of Artaxerxes III to the city of Perinth when he resisted Philip. All Greek cities (except Sparta) and the Greek islands swear their help to the league and recognize Filipo as president of the League. Philip establishes a council of representatives of all the Greek states, which had the power to deliberate and decide what actions to undertake. However, the real power resides in Philippi who is declared commander of the League army.
- Olympia is left aside by her husband Philip II, after the marriage of Philip with a young man named Cleopatra (to whom the name was changed by the name of Eurydice). Philip's actions imply he refused his son, Alexander. Philip II exiled Ptolemy, along with other companions of his son.
Roman Republic
